Plumpton Players
Plumpton Players is an amateur dramatic society who aims to put at least one production on a year.
In 2007, the society was chosen to perform the worldwide premiere of A Wet and Windy Night by Declan Cleary.
In May 2008, the Players performed Dave Freeman's classic comedy/farce A Bedful of Foreigners.
In May 2009, the players performed another first. Don't Look Now by Daphne du Maurier, adapted for the stage by Nell Leyshon, was a real departure for the group and proved that they were as good at disturbing serious productions as well as comedies and farces.

Plumpton Pantomime Society
Based in Plumpton Green village and operating out of the local village hall, the Society
consists of Plumpton residents or people who have some sort of connection to the area. Their remit - to raise funds for the village, as well as local charities by putting on one great pantomime annually.
Staging their first production in 1975, (initially as a way to raise money for the local school), the participants had so much fun organising it all, that they decided to make it a regular thing and The Plumpton Pantomime Society was officially born.

Plumpton Rugby Club
Plumpton Rugby Club was founded in 1967 by Roy Ford Esq. The club evolved from Plumpton Senior Scout Group who with Roy Ford's guidance formed the nucleus of the club. The first game in the club's history was against the students of Plumpton Agricultural College on November 27th 1967.
In the club's history there have been some highs and lows, one such high was the 1987/88 season when the club played 33 games winning 30 of them on their way to the 'Sussex Merit Table C'. In recent times the 2004/05 season was another high when the club won the 'Sussex League 3 Central' and the 'Sussex Plate', a great achievement for the club. As with all sporting organisations there have been low times, the club has managed to survive those testing seasons and is now progressing towards 44 years of rugby at Plumpton.
